giving happiness global impact

Giving Results from Do1Give Day 2025: One Act. One Big Impact.

What happens when thousands of people around the world choose to give—on the same day? You get giving results that are bigger than numbers. You get a connection. You get happiness. You get proof that one act of giving can change everything.

Ultimately, Do1Give Day 2025 was a day to remember. On April 25th, individuals, classrooms, and entire communities came together for one reason: to give with intention. From volunteer hours to handwritten notes, shared meals to social media smiles, we saw the ripple effect unfold across the globe.

The Power of Giving: The Giving Results Are In

The Giving Results from this year reflect just how powerful one small act can be when multiplied across communities.

✨ 35,000+ acts of giving
💬 5.6 million people reached on social media
🌍 37 countries participated
💛 6,000 students activated in schools
🕒 2,000 volunteer hours = $50,000 in value
🌊 Ripple Effect = 843,000+ people impacted
📆 Everyone said YES to coming back in 2026!

Our community didn’t just participate—they led the way. As one participant wrote:

“You epitomise the pinnacle of giving. Your intentional and unintentional acts of spreading kindness and love are evident in the outpouring of goodwill.”

Do1Give Day wasn’t about perfection—it was about participation. About pausing for one moment, one smile, one share. Because the act of giving, no matter how small, carries infinite potential.

More Than a Day of Giving

For schools, it was a celebration of social-emotional learning, growth mindset, and global citizenship. For workplaces, a reminder of how kindness strengthens culture. For families, it was a reason to reconnect. For everyone—it was joy.

Participants shared that Do1Give Day was “easy, fun, and meaningful.”
And best of all? 100% of participants said they felt happier afterward.

This is the Power of Giving in action. One day. Big impact. Ongoing ripple.

From its beginnings, Do1Give Day has now reached 86 countries and inspired more than 281,000 acts of giving since 2017. With the ripple effect (x3), that’s more than 843,000 lives touched by generosity, compassion, giving, and love.

What We Learned from Giving Back

Do1Give Day reminded us that giving is more than a kind act—it’s a reflection of who we are when we lead with heart. Here are just a few of the things we learned:

  1. Giving makes us feel good. In fact, 100% of participants said they felt happier after giving.
  2. It connects us. Whether through a smile, a note, or a meal, it brought people together.
  3. Anyone can give. Age, income, or location didn’t matter—every act made an impact.
  4. Kindness is contagious. One act often inspired another. The ripple is real.
  5. Simple actions go a long way. Some of the most impactful gestures were also the easiest.
  6. Creativity shines through giving. From gratitude trees in classrooms to sidewalk chalk messages—people made it their own.
  7. It fosters belonging. Giving gave people a reason to reach out, reconnect, and be part of something bigger.
  8. Young people stepped up. Students led initiatives, shared stories, and became change-makers.
  9. It eases the mind. Many shared how the act of giving helped them feel calm and grounded.
  10. Above all, giving is happiness in action. Because when we focus on others, we remember what really matters.
