Friendship Gives – Special Gives for Special People

“No friendship is an accident.” and  “A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow.” We know we have a true friend when we show our worst days and know they are still there for you.  “A friend who understands your tears is much more valuable than a lot of friends who only know your smile.”

When was the last time you said thanks for your friendships. We all depend on someone, or a group of friends and we love they are there for us, but telling these special people you appreciate them, or say thank you for being there, sometimes goes unsaid. And it shouldn’t. It just shouldn’t.

Friendships are precious and should be acknowledged more than once or twice or even three times. With Friendship Day right around the corner, why not use your daily give to honor a friend, or a group of friends! June 30th is Friendship Day so you can spread the happiness around for a few days before and a few days after.

Great Friendship Gives for Your Great Friends!

1, Bake your friend’s favorite cookies! Or cupcakes! Or squares! Deliver them on Friendship day and add a hug when you deliver these sweet treats.

2. Write a gratitude note and hand deliver to your pal. There are so many things that make us grateful for friends, but writing all of these things down will bring a smile to both of your faces.

3.  Take a walk in the park together. Just the two of you, or the three of you. Take some time out of your busy days and just spend time together. These moments are precious, and not done as much as we should. If you want to make it a double give, each of you can grab a bag and pick up garbage on your walk! That’s a double give for the day!

4. Send them their favorite song on email. Find their favorite song/music video on YouTube and send them the link. Music especially a favorite song can make a good day ….GREAT!

5. Listen. If your friend is going through a tough time, go for coffee and just listen. Listening is one of the greatest gifts we can give anyone, but worth so much when you listen to a friend, or you know a friend is listening.

Friendship Day is a reminder that friends are an important part of a healthy, happy life, so carry that thought with you and let it show in your actions. Using your daily give for your friend is priceless! They will love you even more than they already do!
