50 Ways to Spread Happiness with Giving

Do1Give Day is just around the corner and that means it is time to choose how you are going to spread happiness! This year we want everyone to do Just One small action to help spread happiness on Thursday, April 25th and make a difference in the world. Imagine, if everyone did Just One small action, the world would be overflowing with love and happiness.

Here is a list of 50 suggestions for you to do on Do1Give Day – and then every day after that. Or make a list of your own and share it with friends and family. Or spread happiness any way you want – it doesn’t matter what you do, just that you do One small action on Do1Give Day. Try any of the following ideas if you need ideas to help you spread happiness.

Do Just One Small Action to Spread Happiness:

  1. Smile at strangers.
  2. Hold the door open for someone.
  3. Give compliments freely and sincerely.
  4. Volunteer your time to help those in need.
  5. Send handwritten notes of appreciation.
  6. Offer to babysit for a friend or family member.
  7. Cook a meal for someone who could use a break.
  8. Listen actively and attentively when someone needs to talk.
  9. Share uplifting quotes or articles on social media.
  10. Donate gently used clothing or household items to a shelter.
  11. Leave positive reviews for small businesses you support.
  12. Offer to teach someone a new skill or hobby.
  13. Pay for the coffee or meal of the person behind you in line.
  14. Surprise a coworker with their favorite snack or treat.
