31 Emotions That Are As Good As Happy

Did you know that there are 31 emotions that are as good as happy and are related to our feelings of happiness? Have you experienced a different emotion when you give that has contributed to your feeling of happiness when you give? The Society of Happy People, a group started in 1997, has identified 31 emotions we might feel when we give. This list makes a lot of sense to me, and filled some unexplainable emotions for me on days when my giving felt different but had the same impact that other gives have had.

What Happens When We Give

Research shows that when we give we have a neurological reaction that creates that feeling of happiness. We call it the Daily DOSE of happiness. Our happy hormones activate, serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin, while our stress hormone cortisone decreases. This happiness reaction is what makes giving such a satisfying and enjoyable experience.

But there are some days when I feel a good but I would express my emotions differently. What I have found out is that there are 31 emotions that assist in making us feel happy, and these can be how you might describe how you feel after completing your daily give. All of this leads to happiness but having more emotions that could explain how you feel after giving just makes me happy!

31 Emotions That Fulfill Our Understanding of Happiness and Being Happy

Here are the 31 emotions that will lead us to and make us feel happy:
