Take Action Today for Do1Give Day 2026

If you’ve been watching the news and wondering what you can actually do in a world that feels overwhelming, here is one simple way to take action today that will help you feel more connected and more in control.

I will be honest with you. I have been feeling it too.

There are moments where I catch myself scrolling, reading, watching, and feeling this growing sense of stress. I worry for my children. I worry for all of our children. What kind of world are they growing up in? What does the future look like for them?

And underneath all of that is the hardest feeling of all. That so much of it feels out of our control.

But I have also learned something important. Sitting and watching does not make me feel better. Doing something does. Even something small.

This is where 365give and Do1Give Day began for me. Not as a global movement. Not as a campaign. Just as a mom trying to find one thing I could do in my own life, on my own day, that made a difference for someone else.

And it worked.

What you will learn in this article

  • Why the world needs us to take action now
  • What one small act of giving looks like for Do1Give Day
  • Simple Earth Day ideas you can take action on this week

Why the world needs us to take action now

We are living in a time where it is easy to feel disconnected from each other and unsure of where we fit into everything that is happening.

We are also living in a time where small, positive actions matter more than ever.

Research in prosocial behavior or as we call it giving back shows that when we help others, we do not just support them. We actually improve our own wellbeing, happiness and health. My favorite name for this is The Helper High!

So, if you want to feel better, less stressed do one small action with us for Do1Give Day.

What one small act of giving looks like for Do1Give Day

One small act of giving back is not complicated. It is something you can do right where you are.

How to be part of Do1Give Day right now.

The idea is simple:

Do one small act of kindness, generosity, or good
Post it with #KindnessCounts
Invite others to do the same

That’s it.

Because small actions, multiplied across thousands of people, create real impact.

The week is about:
• Taking action
• Coming together across global communities
• Showing what’s possible when we come together.

Don’t think about it just join us. Let’s change the news feed from bad news to good news.
