Accept that Act of Giving When It Comes Your Way!

The act of giving is often perceived as a one-way street, however, the act of giving also encompasses the act of receiving. The act of receiving is often overshadowed by the act of giving, despite its importance to the cycle and ripple effect of giving.

As such, to receive a give from others is just as important as the act of giving.

In our previous posts, we have shown the immense benefits that come from the act of giving, which bring about joy and happiness as well as its benefits on our mental health. Giving helps to put life into perspective and empowers you to believe our small actions can positively impact the people around us. This helps us feel more loved and connected to those around us. However, it is also important for us to welcome acts of giving when it comes our way.

Here are three reasons why receiving is just as important as giving.

Embracing Acts of Giving Brings Happiness Into Our Lives

By welcoming and receiving acts of giving, we welcome the joy and happiness from that give. This helps us to be more open to acts of kindness that come our way, allowing us to be grateful for the thought behind the gives as well as welcome the joy and happiness from these gives into our lives.

Embracing Acts of Giving Improves Mental Wellbeing

Receiving gives that come our way can help to promote a more positive mindset. Welcoming these acts of giving that comes our way helps us to feel connected to the people around us. Additionally, recognising the thoughts behind the gives can help us to feel surrounded by the love and thoughts of those around us. This can greatly improve our mental health as receiving acts of giving remind us that there are people around us who care and are thinking of us.

By Receiving You Help Bring Joy and Happiness to the Giver

Receiving is also giving! When we receive the gives that come our way and express our gratitude, we help the giver to feel the happiness and joy from giving. This helps the giver to feel the love and joy that comes from the act of giving. This can help to start and perpetuate the cycle of giving, which can also help to spread more joy and happiness within our communities!

Receiving is just as important as the act of giving. Without embracing the gives that come our way, we prevent others from experiencing the joys of giving and receiving. Therefore, by receiving, you are helping to spread the joy of giving and allow others to partake in the reciprocal relationship of giving that can bring about joy and happiness into our lives.

Receiving is a simple act of giving and if you would like more ideas on how you can give back today, check out 365give for giving ideas and start spreading the joy of giving!
