Rock Your Giving World With These Giving Ideas

Ready to rock your world with these giving ideas? Giving already rocks your world by making you feel happier and more connected to yourself, your friends and family, your community, or the environment. These giving ideas may seem simple but can make a world of difference. Try these giving ideas to rock your world!

People Giving Ideas – Donate your Hair

If you have been feeling like changing up your look and are considering getting a dramatic haircut – do it!  Hair donations are always needed for wig manufacturers for cancer patients and survivors. You may not realize how valuable your hair is, but it can help someone else feel as confident and beautiful as you do! Make sure to check your local requirements with regards to length and hair health. While some organizations require a minimum of 6 inches of clean, healthy, undyed hair, other organizations may have higher or lower minimum requirements.

People Give – Organize a Clothing Exchange

Spring cleaning can take you by surprise, it always seems to come up so fast! But why do we have to reserve clearing out our closets for spring? Why not have a fun clothing exchange with friends, family, and neighbours before the summer ends? A clothing exchange is easy to organize and only requires a group of people to agree to bring clothes they intend to donate. Set up a table and invite your friends and neighbors to deliver clothes they no longer wear. You, your friends, and your neighbours can have a fun day connecting and building community while exchanging clothes. Whatever clothes are left at the end of the day can be donated to your local shelter. This give is good for the environment as it discourages from buying new and helps people in your community who may not be able to afford new clothing.

Planet Giving Ideas – Beach Day Clean-Up

This give to the planet and our environment is a great one to do before the summer comes to an end. The beach is the perfect place to go and relax on your day off – but not everyone cleans up after themselves when they leave the natural oasis. Next time you go to the beach, give back by spending five minutes cleaning up the litter on the shoreline. The environment and fellow beach lovers will thank you for it!

Planet Give – Turn Off Your Lights

This classic give helps the environment and your wallet. Save energy by turning off all the lights when you are not in the room. This easy give only takes two seconds and is sure to save energy and reduce your electricity bill!

Animal Give – Start Vegan Mondays

If you’re not vegan already, try starting Vegan Mondays!  There are thousands of amazing vegan recipes available online now, and it is a great way to help give back to the environment. It is also a very fun way to get creative in the kitchen. If going full vegan sounds too tough, vegetarian Monday’s is a great alternative. For one day a week, give back to animals and the environment by reducing your meat and/or animal by-product intake. You might be surprised by how many delicious new recipes there are for you to try!
