Planet Gives That Celebrate #NationalWalkingDay!

No matter where you are in the world, you can celebrate #nationalwalkingday in the sun, rain or snow! Embrace your weather and lets get out walking and giving! What we love about #nationalwalkingday is we can complete a planet give, animal give or people give when we walk! Considering many of us have spent the last two years switching between lock downs, partial lock downs and now few restrictions, #nationalwalkingday seems to be a great way to continue giving and touch the hearts of new people, new animals and new places on the planet!

For #NationalWalkingDay 2022 let focus on some planet gives! Our planet needs some lovin’ so lets start giving to the planet! These planet gives will get you outside, enjoying your surroundings and increasing your well-being through your planet gives. 1, 2, 3, lets get started!

Complete Your Daily Chores With a Focus on Walking

Many of us hop on our bike or jump in the car to make sure we get as many chores done as possible. On #NationalWakingDay make the effort to walk to where ever you need to go to finish your chores. Walk to the store, walk to the post office, walk to doctor’s or dentist. If you find the walk would be way to far, park your bike or car farther from your destination and walk to your final destination. By using your feet instead of a vehicle you are helping the planet. High Five – planet give!

Take A Walk In A Local Park

Being outside with the gifts of Mother Nature are a great planet give. Take a walk in a park, be with the flora and fauna of where you live. Upload a photo of where you are on social media and encourage others to do the same #365give #planetgive #nationalwalkingday #giveeveryday

Take a Walk To See The Sunrise Or The Sunset

This is yet another way to give to the planet by appreciating what it gives us each and every day. Walk to an area that gives you the best view of the sunrise (for you early birds) or the sunset! If you live in a city you may get a glimpse of this spectacular daily event, but a glimpse is better than nothing. We forget how important the sunrise and sunset so take a walk and appreciate this daily occurrence which many of us take for granted.

Go For a Plalk on #NationalWalkingDay

Plalking is when you walk with a purpose. The purpose – pick up garbage where you walk! Many joggers have combined their daily run with this goal and walkers are now following this lead. Take a small garbage bag, pick up garbage ont eh street, in the park, or a trail and throw it out when the bag is full. Plalking is becoming a popular sport that is a wonderful and thoughtful way to bring purpose to your walk.

Go For A Walk With Someone Who Could Benefit From The Company

Do you know of someone who is socially isolated, needs help walking or could just do with a nice chat and a walk? Ask them to go for a short walk with you today! Pick a senior, a small child, someone who works from home, or a good friend you have not seen for a while. Walking is a great way to shake up your day, and see what our planet has to offer!
