#NationalSendaCardtoaFriend Day

We have a great idea for this special day – #NationalSendaCardToAFriend Day! Our friend Anne Sophie is on a mission with her Happy Little Moments  cards that are spreading love everyday!  Check out her story below created by the BrightVibes Foundation.

Short Interview with Anne Sophie – Happy Little Moments

We had a chance to ask Anne Sophie a few questions with a simple hope that you can see how easy it is to make a big difference in the world:

How did Happy Little Moments Start? What was the motivation?

I always loved to surprise friends and family with personal and handmade cards. At the time I was on Bali and I was inspired in a little shop where they sold beautiful handmade paper and small envelopes. I thought: what if I write ‘message for the finder’ on these envelopes? In that way, I could reach way more people, than only the people that I know.

How many have you distributed so far?

More than 11.000, thanks to all the people that are working on them under sheltered employment. And thanks to all the people who donated or spread the cards as well.

What change do you hope to inspire?

I truly believe that we can create a more loving world together. Life is not easy for many people and therefore we should look out for each other. A small act of kindness can change someone’s day for the better. I hope to give people the feeling that they are not alone, and that life can surprise them in a positive way. Being helped or surprised by a stranger can feel extra special, because it is unconditional. I will never forget the moments that strangers helped me, without expecting anything in return.
I hope to inspire people to be kind to strangers, because it really matters.

How does giving it make you feel?

This work feels magical. It made me believe less in coincidence, because people are finding the cards in such perfect timing. Knowing that a little card can make a difference for someone, even if it is very small, feels special and makes me feel humble and happy.

How can others get involved?

At the moment, the cards are spread in the Netherlands and Belgium. People can order cards in my web shop, to surprise strangers themselves. And of course, you can always surprise strangers in your own way. I hope to spread my work in other countries in the future as well.

We know not everyone can order cards from Happy Little Moments yet but let Anne Sophie be your inspiration to make your own and start spreading the love to your friends for #NationalSendACardToAFriend Day.
