More Giving Quotes To Inspire and Remind Us That Giving Matters!

Why does giving matter? Giving matters because it brings about happiness. It brings a sense of joy and fulfillment in our lives. There are many giving quotes that explain in simple terms why giving matters. The following are just a few giving quotes we love.

Giving Quote #1 – Lose Yourself in the Service of Others

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” (Mahatma Gandhi).

This is one of my favourite quotes of all times. This quote pretty much sums up the importance of giving in our lives and the best way for us to be our best selves is by being of service to others. What better way can we find our true selves than by helping others?

Giving Quote #2 – Giving is Joy

Another amazing quote that pretty much sums up why giving matters is

“Giving to those in need will bring more joy than money could ever buy.” (DaveRamsey.com).

The more you give, the more satisfied and fulfilled you will feel and the less material things you feel you will need. Nobody needs money to buy happiness when you can make others happy by giving of what you already have to help others. It’s an amazing feeling of satisfaction and joy.

Giving Quote #3 – Love and Giving

My favourite person of all times is Mother Teresa. Her famous quote

“It’s not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving” (Mother Teresa)

is a powerful message that everyone should follow. Giving is one thing but when you give with all your heart, with so much love, it makes what you are doing, the act of giving, so much more valuable and so much more heartfelt. It’s not just the act of giving that matters, but just the extra love we put into that giving. This is so very true. If we all gave with all our love and devotion, the world would be a better place. Let us remember when we give to others to not only “give,” but also to show it with love, whether it be with a hug, or an extra nice comment, etc. Let us show a little love in the giving and never forget that we are all human and we are all equal. There is no one person better than another and this is something that Mother Teresa lived by. She treated everyone equally and with respect and dignity.

Giving Quote #4 – Do Little Things for Others – Little Things Mean a Lot

I found this quote online, by an unknown author

“Never get tired of doing little things for others. Sometimes, those little things occupy the biggest part of their hearts.”

Have you ever heard the saying “It’s the little things in life?” Well, when we give of the heart and we think it’s small, it could actually mean the world to someone and could be the difference in brightening someone’s outlook on life. When we give, it doesn’t matter how big the give is, what matters is that we do participate in the giving and that we give with all of our hearts and feed someone else’s soul, which in turn, feeds our own soul.

Giving Quote #5 – Making a Difference in Other People’s Lives

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”(Nelson Mandela).

This quote has a pretty large impact on our own lives. Living is not enough. We need to make a difference in the world in order to feel that we have lived a life worth living. When we help others and give to others and do unto others as we would like others to do unto us, it leads us to a more joyous and prosperous life. When we give, we receive so much more in return for our good stewardship and for helping others and making a difference in other people’s lives. Making the world a better place, one give at a time, will lead us to feel more fulfilled and happier in our lives. It will lead us to bigger and better and greater things in life. We don’t need only money to be happy, we need to feel a sense of accomplishment and that we have helped others out. When you have a chance to give, give with all your heart and you will reap the rewards of helping others. Give without expecting anything in return. That is the way to live.
