Holiday Gifts that Keep on Giving-Making Presents a Daily Give

What is a Gift that Keeps on Giving?Make your presents a daily give and spread happiness. A gift that keeps on giving is a present that can be enjoyed over and over. Gifts that give back are also gifts that give lasting enjoyment. During the holiday season, it’s easy to get influenced by all the commercialization, but the true joy lies in giving back.  Volunteering and donating to charity are ways to give that can be enjoyed with family. This season lets reap the benefits of these gifts that benefit the giver as much as the reciever.

Give As A Volunteer – Benefits of Volunteering

Making Presents a Daily Give

Volunteering can offer help to the underprivileged and worthy causes. It can also lead to new friendships. Similarly, volunteering alongside other members of your family and existing friends strengthens those bonds. Children who volunteer with their parents are more likely to become adults who volunteer.

Research has shown that helping others boosts our our own happy hormones.

Amongst other benefits, volunteering offers you the chance to test drive a new career without making a big commitment. It is also a great way to gain experience in a new field. Volunteering is an enjoyable and simple way to explore your interests.  Helping out a cause that you find meaningful can be a great way to unwind as well. The improved mood it can create can carry over into your personal and professional life.

Give To Charities – Benefits of Giving to Charity

Like volunteering, donating money to a good cause is proven to make you feel better. Donation to causes you believe in can bring more meaning to your daily life. Again, when your kids see you donating money, they’re much more likely to give back as well when they are adults. Donating even a few dollars to charities for third world countries can go a long way.

For the cost of a fancy coffee you could provide a week’s worth of meals for a starving child, 3 gallons of clean drinking water, much-needed medical attention and enough rice to feed a family for a week.

As a bonus, charity donations are also eligible for tax deductions. This holiday season, share about how you give to the charities you support on social media along with posting your usual festive pictures. Others might feel more motivated to give back as well.
