#Do1Give Day For Employees – Easy Ways To Participate

#Do1Give Day for employees is easy to do. The annual 365give giving event is where people around the world boost giving on one single day. The result is a big happiness and well-being global boost that resonates through all of us! Making the promise to #Do1Give is important for our personal happiness and global well-being. Here are some great ways employees can participate in the event. It is easy to plan and perfect for both in-person and remote workplaces.

Sign Up For Volunteer Opportunities

Make a commitment in your workplace to volunteer at local organizations. All of us have a skill that a not-for-profit can benefit from. Join a Board of Directors, offer to write articles, help with IT and web design, go in-person to help sort food, clothing or donations. Arrange to read to a child online once a month. You decide how many hours a month you want to volunteer, and if in-person or remote volunteering suits you best. Volunteering is a great way to help your community and make it a happier, better place. This #Do1Give Day For Employees Idea is a great way to give all year long.

Conduct a Drive With A Food Drop Off Event

This activity is a great way to get your customers and suppliers involved in #Do1Give Day. Drive by food drop offs are helping communities all over the world. It also gets you out of the house or office, or work place for a few minutes and makes you feel great! Have people drop the food off at your place of work, or directly to a local food bank. Either option works!

Have An ‘We Appreciate You’ Day

Everyone loves to feel appreciated. Send a gif to fellow remote co-workers, wear a badge at in-person workplaces or for essential workers that are wearing masks, get special masks made that say ‘We appreciate you!’. You can easily extend this to social networks and share the love to employees, customers, and suppliers.

Random Surprise Discounts Or Giveaways For Customers

I first experienced this at an Ontario supermarket. The cashier gave me two items for free, a total of $5.00 but none the less, a nice surprise at check out. This random surprise discount was a delight, and made me happy all day long. Why not suggest this at your place of employment. It does not have to be a big item, or a huge discount. The element of surprise is what made this give so amazing. Something free always feels great and your customers will feel this give to their core. The employee that was empowered to give us these free items also felt happy. It was a truly win-win situation.

Virtual Coffee Break In Remote Offices

When was the last time your virtual employees went on Zoom for a coffee? Likely never. Arrange an online meeting and turn it into a coffee break. Let people chat about their lives, families, coping strategies, or just the weather. This surprise will make everyone happy, and increase thier well-being for the day.

Group Social Media Shout Out

Find a local business supplier that you want to support. Get employees to do a big shout out for that company on social media to boost their likes, positive comments, and views. There is power in numbers and all it takes is a like from your phone or computer. You will feel good for doing this and the customer or supplier will be happy to have the support!

#Do1Give Day For Employees shares happiness and well-being. Make the Promise to #Do1Give on April 21, 2021. It is a simple way to boost employee happiness and spread that through out your workplace, with customer and your suppliers. We could all do with a little boost of well-being so make it happen! Get event information here and start planning your fun small act of giving for April 21!
