Day 267: Like.. Click.. $626,090 donated! That Easy to Give! Free the Children Today!

Some days it is that easy to give. Today I found a social media give that helped me complete my daily give for the day. Me to We and Free the Children put me on the right click to give campaign that cost me nothing and took just a few seconds.

When I started 365give a friend suggested a book I should read. It was called Me to We: Finding Meaning in a Material World. I went right to their website and I was truly inspired by Me to We. The organization was started by two young students many years ago, Craig and Marc Klielburger. Their lives changed after volunteering in Ecuador to help to build a school. They decided they had to do something to change the world. Me to We was inspired by an one act they witnessed while volunteering. The school was far behind being completed and they had just days before leaving the village. The chief of the village called a “minga.” A call to action that brought people from villages miles away to help finish the school together. It was no longer about one person, “me” but about “we” and thus Me to We was formed and is changing the world every day. One of the ways they are doing this is through the other organization they have built called Free the Children. That is how I am giving back today, I want to help Free the Children of the world.

Day 267: Give 267

“Free The Children believes in a world where all young people are free to achieve their fullest potential as agents of change. We are a charity and educational partner that empowers youth to remove barriers that prevent them from being active local and global citizens. Our domestic programs educate, engage and empower hundreds of thousands of youth in North America and the UK. Our international projects, led by our holistic and sustainable Adopt a Village model, has brought over 650 schools and school rooms to youth and provided clean water, health care and sanitation to one million people around the world, freeing children and their families from the cycle of poverty.”

Inspiration, motivation – change. Need I say more. How can we not take just a moment in our day to give.

One click, one like and we can help Free the Children reach a $1,000,000 fundraising goal and you don’t have to give a dime. With help from many great sponsors, just one click on the Free the Children facebook page allows you to give a donation of $1.00 at no cost to you. My click helped to bring that total to $626,090. That means over 600,000 have liked their page. Pretty amazing but how many people use Facebook – 500 million? Their sponsors have pledged to give up to $1,000,000. We need to start clicking today. Together on Facebook we can help them reach their goal.

I need you to spread the world. Post this on your Facebook page and ask your friends to help. Together we can Free the Children and help Marc and Craig continue their great work around the world.

Time Commitment: 30 Seconds

Cost: 0 but donated $1.00
