Day 224: Give 224

Puppy Mill Facts:

Puppy mills are overcrowded and unsanitary caged conditions, without adequate health care, food, water or human company.
Dogs are bred as often as possible to maximize profits. The female dog will be killed when she can no longer bread.
Puppies sold from puppy mills often have health concerns early or later in life.
Approximately 3,500 pet stores in the United States sell puppies from puppy mills.
Stores sell approximately 500,000 thousand puppies a year.
Greed kicks in for many states in the US: It is estimated that the puppy industry in Missouri is valued at 40 million dollars a year.

Take Part is a site that “Inspires Action” and today I was inspired to take action and pledge to help these puppies. On the Take Part site they have “Guides for Doing Good.” Today I signed a pledge to stop puppy mills. If you watch the video above you to will be inspired to pledge.

Animals do not deserve to be treated so badly. No living creature does. Take your pledge one step further and volunteer or donate to your local shelter. Pledge to adopt a pet from your local shelter. Don’t support an industry that is doing such terrible and inhumane acts. Save a puppy today.
