7 Days Of Giving Starts Now – Increase Your Happiness

What was your New Year’s Resolution? Ooops you forgot to make your list? You were busy working, or preparing for school or surrounded by family over the holidays so just forgot. We can make your New Year’s resolution easy, starting with 7 days of giving. Yup, just 7 days. Some of our gives you can do from your phone, some gives can be done at home, at school or in the office.
The commitment is for just 7 days. The rewards, endless. The Result – You just may commit to 7 more days after this. You just might once you see how you feel and the impact you make with just small act of giving every day.

Ready? 7 Days of Giving Coming Up

We are committed to giving every day and making it easier for others to give is our mandate. The benefits of giving have a measurable impact both personally and globally. Happiness is the goal but there are so many other benefits that result from giving every day. When you start your 7 days of giving, see how the world changes around you, see how you change.
What we love about these simple acts of giving is the change you see and feel. When you see the impact you have on others, whether it be a person, an animal or the planet, you will continue to give everyday.

Give# 1 – Give Someone a Hug Today.

National Hug Day was January 22 but you can make your own free hug day today. Believe it or not, a simple hug increases oxytocin levels, reduces loneliness, increases feelings of positivity similar to meditation and laughter, and relaxes your muscles. These effects are felt by both the giver and the receiver. Woo Hoo! Hug away!

Give# 2 – Send a Note of Gratitude to Someone, Anyone.

It could be someone you know well, like a sister or parent. It could be someone you don’t know very well, but you wanted to thank them for something they did – a kind comment they made or that they were just available. Write a text, send a note, do a shout out on your social media. Just let someone know you appreciate them today.

Give# 3 – Click to Give Right From Your Device.

Your daily give is all about using your click to make a difference. The hunger site is a great place to click to give. Have a look at the top menu bar and pick any of the click to give options: Animal Rescue, Veterans, Global Hunger, Autism, Breast Cancer. Click and done. Now how easy was that.

Give# 4 – Make a Random $5 Donation On a GOFUNDME Campaign.

Help someone raise money for school, support an animal shelter, help an organization fight climate change. The possibilities are endless and you will find a cause that resonates with you. Find one and give your $5. Go Fund Me Page

Give #5 – Make an Extra Lunch or Buy an Extra Lunch.

Whether you make your lunch or buy your lunch, add one extra lunch today and give it away. If you see a homeless person on the street, give them the extra lunch. If someone at work just does not have time for lunch, give them the extra lunch. If someone at school forgot their lunch, give them your extra lunch. It is a small gesture that will make a big difference.

Day #6 – Smile At Everyone Today – Really Everyone

This give is free and will make you feel great! It will also make others feel great as smiling is contagious. When someone sees you smiling, they smile. Smiling makes you feel better, boosts your immune system, decreases anxiety, and makes you look – happy. Watch what happens when you complete this give today. You and those you smile at will feel great!

Day #7 – Donate Household Items or Clothes To Your Favorite Neighbourhood Charity

Rummage through your closet, or linen cabinet or kitchen. What have you not used in over in a year? Do you have some spare towels that you could donate to the local animal shelter? Do you have clothes that could help a single mom get ready for a job interview. If you have too many toys, donate a few to a local shelter. Pick a few items and deliver them to a neighbourhood community organization, thrift store or charity.

7 Days of Giving – Done!

How easy was that? And how did you feel after your first give? Your third give? Your final seventh give. We have not met a person that didn’t feel great after giving. Their first seven days inspired more days of giving. For us, it is a habit, where we find a day is not complete until one give is done.

If you want to continue your daily giving habit, where you can inspire others and share your impact, join the 365give Challenge. It is a great way to start giving as a daily habit where you change the world 1 give, 1 day at a time with simple actions that make the world a better place. Are you in? Remember you don’t have to do this alone. Sign up as a school, a classroom, a family or a club. Giving every day can be a group activity and a fun one at that.
