365give Volunteer Interview – Why Giving Matters – Chantal Trudeau

Curious why giving matters. Do you still have questions as to the effectiveness of daily giving? Well our volunteer and Chair has some answers for you. This is worth the read so you can adopt a daily giving habit that will make you happier and change the world.

You have heard this before and we will say it again. 365give is a volunteer driven organization. We do all of our work thanks to the dedication of our volunteers! Chantal Trudeau has been with us since the beginning so we want to share her giving story with you. As the Chair of our Board of Directors, Chantal keeps all of us focused on our mission and drives the direction of our vision.

Chantal is an Elementary School Principal who finds the time to volunteer despite her demanding schedule. She has always known why giving matters and wanted to share this with her students. It was her dedication to her students that had her first interested in 365give. Her passion for the organization grew as she witness the effects of daily giving on her students. She has always believed that teaching the hearts and minds of children is paramount if we want our children to feel happy, valued, and empowered. Seeing children thrive when they give, witnessing their smiles as the continued to give keeps her going. Chantal continues to support the 365give mission with her school and other schools in her local area.

Volunteer Interview On Why Giving Matters With Chantal Trudeau – Chair Board of Directors

  1. How did you become interested in 365give? I was approached by Jacqueline Way who wanted to take her 365give Challenge to a school setting. I was happy to assist with this in our school as her mission is similar to my belief that a child’s happiness is paramount.
  2. Why did you want to volunteer at 365give? I saw this project as a perfect fit for teaching students about daily giving, social and emotional learning and global citizenship. I saw a need for a great cause to unite the students.
  3. What have been your greatest rewards while volunteering at 365give? The positive impact on school climate as children shift their focus from receiving to giving. The smiles of children who realize that they can make a difference no matter how young they are what excites me the most to this day.
  4. What is your most inspiring give? That is hard to say, because buying coffee for a friend or making a donation of clothes to a good cause are just as satisfying, I think that my gives, big or small, are all important.

A Big Thank You To Our 365give Volunteers

What can I say. I love our volunteers. They bring so much to the table when navigating the best way to change the world, one give at a time. Their participation as a Board Member, writer, graphic designer or Adviser brings our programs to local and global neighbourhoods. I could not do this without their support, knowledge, and sheer happiness that they contribute throughout the year.
