Anna and I over a decade ago while working on a charity event together called Toronto Taste. Anna has this wonderful ability to make everyone laugh even when we were all tired and over worked. Anna set a new standard for volunteers. Her dedication and commitment was second to none. We worked together for a number of years and as people do, we slowly lost contact. Then one day, out of the blue, Anna sent me a note telling me what an impact I had had on her life. It was a remarkable act of kindness and something I never forgot. Years passed yet again, and this past summer I got another email from Anna to tell me of a mutual friend that had passed away. This time I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to tell her what her email had meant to me all those years ago and in the same breath told her about 365give. The idea had hit me just a week before and she was one of the first people I told. Her instant response was “I’m in”, Anna is the reason 365give is now up and running. She gave me the support I needed and the extra courage I didn’t have, to get me blogging. Anna’s role is multi tasking, multi editing, mutli brainstorming partner that everyone wishes they had on their side. She is a brilliant multi media communications expert and I hope one day she will take a guest spot and tell you why she gives back so much everyday. Her story is remarkable, one of hope, heart and never ending commitment to giving.
