Merry – Go- Round- Give !
Today I went to a local civic office to dispute a couple of recent parking tickets . I needed to settle this once and for all !
The parking spaces were very crowded so I meandered my car looking for a space. A lady hailed me from her car .
I thought she was inviting me to take her space . She was and I was grateful
Now she offered me her all day parking ticket she wasn’t using !
I felt really so delighted, the ‘gods’ were now lined up beside me !
I discovered, in the office that my parking tickets had been cancelled too ! They really were walking beside me !
Now it was my turn …..
There was no-one around to give my all day parking ticket to .. so I decided to take my time and circulate around the parking lot slowly. It was worth it.
In drove another lady so I followed her, knocked on her window and offered her the ticket. She was delighted at receiving this now well used all day parking ticket . I asked her to give it to the next person when she was ready to leave ! She agreed very heartedly and we parted
What fun – a merry- go- round giving !

How I can do something to support Jacquie in her Chef’s challenge goal, donate to Women’s cancer research and add to my own increasing strength and stamina and give a gift
I had kidney surgery for cancer a month ago and had 1/2 a rib removed.
The best thing I decided to do is to rake lawns here in Toronto. The lawns are covered with beautiful spatterings of Fall, while the weather is complimenting the challenge!
I acquired my first contract this evening for the morning ! I am on my way…………
Two lawns a day would be quite wonderful and a donation in return.

Hi!
I was so inspired by your mission, that I have stolen your idea and implemented in my classroom. We have committed a small portion of our time every day that we’re in school (we call it 140give) to performing small acts to improve our classroom, families, school, community, country or the world. There is a link to our ‘gives’ on our class website. I have linked your website to it, so people will know it’s your idea!
Thank you so much. Keep it up!

hi,
For the last two months I’ve been knitting lots of scarves for the homeless in the tri-cities and Vancouver (east hastings) area, since the beggining of October I have now knit close to 25 scarves I believe. There was a news article done by the Tri-City news and the link if anyone would like to read it I have put up in the website section.
I try my best everyday to give back to the world because in my mind it is simply a chance of fate that I got to be born into a nice middle-class family in your typical suburban neighborhood, I am lucky, and I’d only hope that if I were that homeless person, or starving child in Africa, or etc that someone would be there to help me out

I would like to thank Jacqueline for posting a video of personal stories from participants of the Friends For Life Bike Rally, a Toronto to Montreal ride raising funds for the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation! Not only does this event create funding to provide practical direct support services for people living with HIV/AIDS, the ride puts a human face to HIV positive people who not only play a vital role in governance, in a staff role and as volunteers at PWA’s office but on the Bike Rally as well. The reality for many living with HIV/AIDS are experiences of stigma and discrimination. The awareness piece is wonderful and Riders and Crew literally do make Friends For Life on this 6 day ride from Toronto to Montreal. http://www.bikerally.org.
So THANK YOU Jacequeline for taking the time to acknowledge the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation’s largest fundraiser, the Friends For Life Bike Rally!
Take Care,
Kristen Lawrie
